How to use Kling AI video templates in Picsart Flow

Open Picsart Flow and find the Kling templates

Tap the Picsart app to open it, then look along the bottom or side menu for a section called something like Flow, AI Tools, or Video. Once you land on the Kling page, scroll until you see a row of template tiles. You'll typically find three styles: one that animates a single photo, one built around a character reference image, and one that combines your footage with a script.

Use the photo-to-video template

Pick the photo-to-video template and tap it. The app will ask you to upload one image from your camera roll. Choose a clear photo where the main subject (a person, a pet, a product) is easy to see. After upload, a small text box appears asking what should happen in the video — that's called a prompt (the instruction you give the AI). Type one short sentence describing the motion you want, then tap the generate button. The app will show a progress indicator while Kling works. This step usually takes 30 seconds to a few minutes, depending on clip length and server load.

If it looks wrong, tap regenerate or tweak the prompt — small wording changes make a big difference.

Try the character reference sheet template

Now pick the character reference template, sometimes labeled "character sheet" or "consistent character." This one is designed for keeping the same face or outfit across multiple clips — useful for short stories, social media series, or product mascots. The app will ask you to upload one or more images of the same character from different angles. Add a short prompt describing the scene, then generate. Kling tries to keep facial features and clothing consistent, which is harder than it sounds for AI, so your first result may need two or three tries.

If the face drifts, regenerate or add more reference images — more input usually helps consistency.

Combine footage with a script

The third template, often called video-to-video or script + footage, lets you feed Kling a short video clip you already have plus a written description of what should change. Think of it as a soft redraw: the AI keeps the general shape and motion of your clip, but re-styles it. Upload a short clip (a few seconds is enough), then type a script describing the new mood, setting, or style. This is the template most people use for stylized social posts — turning a daytime clip into a moody evening scene, for example. Generation takes longer here because the model has more to process.

Preview, trim, and export

Once any template finishes, tap the result to open a preview screen. Most flows let you trim the start and end by dragging handles on a small timeline bar. If the clip is too long, shorten it; if the opening is awkward, trim the first second. When it looks right, look for an Export, Save, or Download button — usually at the top or bottom of the preview. On the free plan, you may get a watermark or a lower resolution; higher resolutions and watermark-free exports are typically behind a paid plan.
