Turn bulleted lists into clean infographics in PowerPoint using Copilot
Paste your bullet points into PowerPoint, open Copilot, and ask it to turn them into a clean infographic you can export as an image in under two minutes.
Hook: You’ll have a clean, visual one-slide summary of your ideas in under two minutes — no design skills needed. This guide shows how to let Copilot do the heavy lifting while you stay in PowerPoint.
💡 Tip: tap a step’s number when you finish it — a green tick appears and your browser remembers how far you got.
- A Microsoft 365 account (free or paid)
- PowerPoint open on your computer (desktop app or web)
- A slide with bullet points you want to turn into an infographic
- Rough time: 5 minutes
Open your slide with bullet points
Open PowerPoint and open the slide that contains the bullet points you want to turn into an infographic. You’ll see the slide in the centre of the screen with the bullet list on the left in the “Outline” pane or in the main slide area.
You’ll know it worked when you can clearly see the bullet points on the slide.

Launch Copilot in PowerPoint
Look for the Copilot button in the PowerPoint ribbon at the top of the screen. It usually sits near the right edge, next to the Help icon. Click it once to open the Copilot panel on the right side of the screen.
A sidebar labelled Copilot will slide in and show a prompt box that says “Ask me anything about this document.”
You’ll know it worked when you see the Copilot panel open with a prompt box ready for typing.

Ask Copilot to create an infographic
In the Copilot prompt box, type or paste:
Press Enter or click the arrow. Copilot will read your bullets and usually replace them with a simple chart, icon set, or visual layout on the same slide.
You’ll know it worked when the bullet points are gone and a visual layout appears on the slide.

Review and tweak the result
Look at the new infographic Copilot created. If the colours or icons don’t quite match your style, click inside the graphic and use the PowerPoint formatting tools to change fonts, colours, or sizes. You can also drag the corners to resize the whole graphic.
If the layout feels too crowded, ask Copilot again:
You’ll know it worked when the graphic looks cleaner and easier to read.

Export the slide as an image
With the infographic on screen, go to File → Export → Save as Picture. Choose PNG or JPG, pick a folder, and click Save. The slide’s graphic is now a standalone image you can share in emails or chat apps.
You’ll know it worked when you find the image file in your chosen folder.

Mistake: Copilot ignores some bullets. Fix: Rephrase your prompt to be more specific, e.g. “Turn only these three bullets into an infographic.”
Mistake: The graphic is too small to read. Fix: Click the graphic and drag a corner outward to enlarge it before exporting.
Mistake: The colours clash with your brand. Fix: Select the graphic, then use PowerPoint’s Design → Format tools to pick brand colours.
Open PowerPoint, pick a slide with bullets, open Copilot, and type: “Turn these bullet points into a clean infographic on this slide.”
